Daily NAV per fund lives in portfolio.fund_nav_daily, in the trusted "gold" layer of the Portfolio data mart. It's refreshed every business day at 07:30 SGT, sourced from Bloomberg pricing and State Street custodian positions, and arrives with a typical lag of 22 minutes against a 30-minute SLA.

What's the difference between committed and called capital?

A

Committed capital is the total amount an investor has pledged to a fund over its life. Called capital (sometimes "drawn capital") is the portion the GP has actually drawn down so far. The remainder — committed minus called — is "dry powder" or undrawn commitments.

Transformation Rules by Layer

Bronze Raw copy — no type casting or validation. All source columns preserved as ingested. Failures routed to dead-letter table. Null handling and schema enforcement deferred to Silver.

Silver Schema enforced via Delta constraints. TEID linked through SCD entity lookup. Duplicate rows removed on ingestion key. PII columns hashed before storage.

Silver DQ checks: null rate < 5% on key columns, referential integrity on TEID, value-range validation on financial amounts. Failing rows flagged with dq_status column — not dropped.

Gold Business logic applied: NAV calculations, VaR aggregations, ESG roll-ups. Steward sign-off required before promotion. Lineage events auto-emitted to Atlas on each refresh cycle.

Gold Unity Catalog row/column access control enforced. Sensitive tables (VaR, positions) require secondary approval. Published to DaaP API and Qlik Sense IPP only — no direct Silver access for consumers.

SLA & Quality Targets by Layer

Bronze Ingestion SLA: T+0 (30 min from source). Completeness target: 100% of source rows. No quality gate — quarantine only. Retention: 7 years (regulatory requirement).

Silver Processing SLA: T+0 (2 hrs from ingestion). Quality pass rate: ≥ 94%. Alerting: PagerDuty P2 on DQ breach, steward notified within 15 min. Retention: 5 years.

Gold Publish SLA: 30 min after Silver confirmation. Quality gate: 99% — table withheld on breach, steward notified immediately. Retention: 10 years.

Gold Monitoring: great_expectations suite runs post-refresh. Qlik Sense and DaaP consume Gold only — no bypass. Lineage auto-recorded in Atlas on each successful publish.
